I was playing around on YouTube and I found this video. Its from 7 years ago. I believe in the concept for saying positive things. I am always posting quotes on here, asking you to say certain positie phrases or sentences, so when I saw this, i smiled! Take a look and let me know what you think!
I go through magazines and newspaper articles and tear and cut out pictures of things I like. Sometimes its a pic of a room I would like one of MY rooms to look like. Other times I have photos of organizing products I want to get. I have a dedicated area with a wall where I post them. You can do it on your fridge. Maybe get an empty paged book and tape them in there. A cork board can work too. Its a cross between a vision board and reminders of what you want.
I am a visual person. It can also be a motivational tool to get you where you want to be! its similar to putting a picture of that red dress you want to fit back into when you are on your weight loss journey. I have friends who post them next to their mirror in the bathroom or on their computer at work. You want to be able about to SEE it so that you can SEE it in your future!
I believe I saw this or something like this on ABC’s Shark Tank! It’s such a simple solution to a common problem! I wish I thought of it!!!!
The Catch Caddy!! It fits between your car seats! When you drop something between the seats, the Catch Caddy..catches it! For me its coins, keys, little receipts, sometimes my phone! I love it!! I ran into these at Bed Bath and Beyond! You can also go to Catchcaddy.com
Here’s a few quick tips to help you stay clean and organized:
- Get undressed in front of the hamper, so there are no dirty clothes lying on the floor.
- Get dressed in the closet so you can put the hangers right back.
- In the kitchen, don’t wait around until the meal is over to clean, do it during downtime while cooking. Clean as you go. Put away ingredients right after you are done with them.
- If you have a dishwasher, then when loading the dishwasher, put like items together so there’s no sorting when the dishes come out. Plates with plates, glasses with glasses, etc.
I actually do the first three ( I don’t have a dishwasher!) and it really works for me in reducing clutter and mess. I also like to take care of things NOW, so I don’t have to do it later.
Pull everything out of a drawer. Just take the drawer out and empty it on a table.
Then sort the drawer into three piles:
stuff that really should go in the drawer.
stuff that belongs elsewhere.
stuff to get rid of.
