We just lost Carrie Fisher and George Michael over the last few days and they are an unusually LONG list of entertainers, celebrities and important figures that have passed in 2016. In my personal life I have lost 8 people I was close to. It has been a little overwhelming for me! But I am choosing to look at this another way.
We are all going to die. That is a fact. People are going to die on us. It can be rough on our hearts. But I am finding it to be a great reminder to LIVE our lives while we are alive. WE need to live our lives fully! There are things I want to accomplish while I am still here, so I am going to work towards them.
Also its a great reminder to hold onto those you care about that are still here!! I tell the people that I love , that I love them all the time. I end phone calls with I love you! Its so important to show that and live it!
And to those we lost and lose, I will always remember you and carry you with me as i move along life. I will share who you are to the appropriate people too!
Readers…I love you!
I have a busy life…today. I also have long term goals for my life tomorrow. My busy life means that I am working on things for my current situation. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have plans for the future. It means that working on those goals can be a little challenging. There were times I found it hard to focus on those things. I was overwhelmed by trying to find the time to work on them. Then I realized…
You don’t need 5 hours of free time every day to work on something towards your long term plans. In my Life Coach class when we talk about setting up your business, we talk about taking steps, ANY steps to work on that goal. It doesn’t matter if its setting up a label on a folder or going to the bank and setting up the business bank account, size doesn’t matter! If you do ONE thing each day, then you will reach your goals eventually.
Sometimes I block out an hour in the mornings and work on my goals. Maybe you can try that too. Or it could be in the evenings for you. Establishing a routine helps for some people. Block out an hour every Saturday, or pick 3 days a week to work on these goals. Don’t stress. Keep the thought open that during that hour, it could just anything you want it to be. Small steps lead to big rewards.
