I dedicate this day to my cousin and my fellow co co-workers at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter that didnt come home that day!
Everytime I go to NYC and I’m in lower Manhattan, I’m reminded that the Twin Towers aren’t there. Everytime Sex and the City airs its opening sequence from the earlier episodes, I’m reminded there aren’t there. There are certain music videos from the 90s I’ll see and I’m reminded they aren’t there. They are such a symbol of “before and after” for me and many others. Now as the time fades further and further into our past , I don’t always think about it, but I am reminded of the after everytime I go to fly out. My eyes were opened that day. I now know that we as Americans aren’t safe from terrorism. IT doesn’t just happen “over there”. IT can happen here. AND it did!
I live in gratitude every day that I wake up. Every second that I get to go to work and do the work that I love, Organizing and Life Coaching. I love my clients and the progress they are making. I love seeing them smile and feel better. SO today I am feeling thankful for that and remembering those who didn’t get another day. I live for them!
