The Right Multitasking Can Work.

17 Apr

Depending on the two or more things, multitasking can be bad or good. Some things need full attention and detail. When you do two things at once, you don’t want to do a half-assed job. You still want to make sure it works and the job is complete. There are some things you CAN do at the same time. It’s great time management. It saves time. It helps with a busy schedule.

Some examples/tips:

Dust while on the phone with a friend.

Clean out a junk drawer while watching TV.

Laundry/Clean out Fridge

Cooking Lunch or Dinner/ Clean out Pantry or Kitchen Cabinets.

I think multitasking is the best way to accomplish a lot in a short time – just wrote a post about it in fact.

I completely agree. AS long as all tasks are done well.

Yes, we all find different ways to be effective. The issue arises when consultants sell a one-size-fits-all approach to the corporate world and everyone is expected to follow suit. In reality, there’s more than one way of working and we each have to find our own way. At one time, companies believed you had to wear a suit every day to be successful. Tell that to Mark Zuckerberg.
