When looking at a cluttered space, it would be normal to have a million different things on your mind. Where do I begin? How shall I handle all of this? How long is this going to take? How much can I get done at once?
Before you begin, you want to have a clear mind. It’s not easy but it’s necessary. Multi-tasking is not encouraged. You want to be focused and handle one thing, one area, one spot at a time. I’ve been told by a mentor that, “The practice of mindfulness is a continuous process.” So work to find ways to clear your mind and create focus.
I practice yoga about 3 days a week. I take bubble baths several nights a week. I sit in my garden. These are some of the ways I de-clutter my mind!
